Our Common Future

The Brundtland Report, also known as “Our Common Future“, is a report by the World Commission on Environment and Development that was published in 1987. This iconic report discusses the concept of sustainable development, which is defined as development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

The report found that the environment is being degraded due to human activities, such as pollution, deforestation, and climate change. It also found that poverty and environmental degradation are linked, and that current economic growth is not sustainable.
The report concluded with a call for action to address these issues. It called for a new approach to development that takes into account the environment and the needs of future generations.
